Traveling with kids isn't always easy, but it is worth it. We are raising our three daughters to be cultured, adventurous, global citizens. We have learned a few tips and tricks along the way that make travel with kids easier and more enjoyable. Our goal is to demystify the travel lifestyle and make you want to incorporate travel with your kids into your life too. Below you can find some information about our favorite travel gear and find our tips for airplane travel and road trips with kids. Travel Gear

Your travel gear can make or break a trip. We know -- we almost lost our stroller in Copenhagen (it blew into a lake) and we had a few minutes of panic. Luckily, my husband saved the day and our stroller survived. Whenever we travel we try to bring the least amount of gear we need for the ages of our kids. It's kinda funny to think back about how much gear we traveled with when we just had one baby. We have learned to streamline and we have found some gear that we just can't leave home without.

Air Travel with kids

Some of our friends joke that we can get our three kids through security at the airport faster than some adults can get through by themselves. We are a well-oiled machine. Airplane travel can be stressful and exhausting with kids, but there are a lot of things you can do to prepare for the worst. We find that when we are prepared (and have low expectations) things go better than planned. Our latest test of our airplane abilities was on a non-stop flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam with kids aged 2, 5, and 7. We've put together some tips that work for us when we travel on planes with our kids.

road trips with kids

We aren't expert road trippers, we mostly prefer to fly. But, we've fallen in love with visiting some of the National Parks across the U.S. over the past few years and have become more comfortable on road trips. Traveling with kids in cars is a great way to start getting into a family travel routine because it can often be more affordable and seems less intimidating. Like with any type of travel, it helps to be prepared and there are ways to make it less boring for your kids. We've put together some tips that have worked for us on roadtrips.
